DMD opinion…

Hi, I have found out my treatment needs to be changed as my latest scan has revealed new changes. I have been offered Tysabrii and was wondering what other people’s experiences of this have been like. I’m terrified!

Hi @kezk
I’m not on this med, but from everything I have read, it is probably the most effective treatment. PML is a risk.
The only other treatments that more effective are Lemtrada and Mavenclad.

They all have different risk profiles.

@kezk , yes there is a risk of PML, but you will be regularly monitored to ensure that risk remains low. If the risk level raises at all, the DMT will be reviewed.

Tysabri is an effective treatment.

Good luck.

arguably if it wasnt for pml that would be the drug everyone would mostly be using. Its really pretty safe and if you are JCV- a great choice. If you are positive the risk increases over time but there is value in getting the MS under control
