Diagnosis

So just been to see my neurologist and finally have a diagnosis. My scan has not been recorded yet but she looked at it with me and said I had early signs of MS. I also saw the faint marks she was pointing out as scaring. I feel relived that now I can have an MS nurse and be referred for some treatment at southampton!

Whilst you’re feeling understandably relieved, @hollylb10 , don’t forget to let the DVLA know of your diagnosis, if you hold a driving licence. And also your car insurance company.

😉

Great! Will this make my insurance increase?

would think an increase would be against the DDA

@brunnanburgh937 ‘s quite correct, although the legislation is now the Equalities Act 2010. 😉

Hi @hollylb10 regarding the issue of informing your insurance company when I was diagnosed last year one of the first things I did was inform the dvla and my insurance company all the insurance company said was that unless either my doctor or specialist said there was any reason to be concerned they were fine as is, so no increases for my illness the dvla on the other hand stripped everything except car and bike, which took them 10 months to sort.
