Constipation issues

Hi everyone
Had MS for 11 years this year
I found the posts about constipation issues

I had IBS issues even before diagnosis

My opinion from experience – you will be forever trialling things

I remember jumping on a forum and saw somebody post – take apple sauce and prune juice – omg for me embarrassing uncontrollable wind, loose stool
When you have weak pelvic floor, gait issues be really careful with what you try
Firstly I went and had a breath test and was diagnosed with fructose malabsorption – wheat and offending foods made it worse
Anxiety made things worse
In the apple sauce and prune juice – fructose!!
Over the years I tried every laxative on the chemist shelf
Nowadays- 1 coffee per day – proper coffee not instant
Relax and go with the flow if you go you go
Jalapeños or a tiny bit of spicy food or whatever thickeners are in sauces does the trick
I know my metabolism has slowed down with my MS and menopause
I look pregnant after eating for a day
I’m about to go to a naturopath to start the Ketogenic – low carb high protein eating plan again
I haven’t done it for years
I had to retire from work so have time to prepare the food
I can’t exercise like I used to
I am 5ft 7.5 and weigh 109 kgs
I should not crave pasta and bread because it blocks me up anyway
Just be careful – see if there are other issues first
Not on any MS drugs because of side effects
Take care xxx
