Constant burning sensations and cold

Hi all this is my first Stream I was diagnosed February last year after developing optic neuritis and within days i lost movement in my left leg and was hospitalised for weeks given steroids and loads of tests Mri, lumber puncture and was diagnosed with Ms I have now gained back all movement in my leg but have been left with a horrible burning sensation from my waist down all over which never goes. I was wondering what other people take for the burring sensations and I also get a bad ice cold sensation in my ankles, cold weather makes it worse i use a heater in front of my legs which helps ease the pain thanks.

Hi @jamie_peall , these symptoms are the result of a lesion interfering with the messages to and from your nerve endings to the brain. If the brain is not aware of what is going on at a nerve ending, then it can’t manage the correct response.

There’s more details here, https://www.mstrust.org.uk/a-z/altered-sensations
