exercise

iv been trying to get fit and slimmer and the only thing i can physically do is swimming :( i want to try something else as well as swimming, iv been doing boxing fitness but after my second week of it i was on my crutch struggling to walk, anyone tried anything else?

Zoe, swimming is considered the best exercise as the water supports you body and prevents any over-heating problems. I hear it also uses most of your muscles. It should allow you to get fitter and slimmer dependant on how often you go....... :)

I do swimming and pilates. I did yoga as well but prefer pilates. It really helps with stiffness and suppleness and builds strength round your middle. Swimming is aerobic so you get those benefits as well as an excellent overall toning. Pilates is more like remedial physiotherapy and it has helped me correct muscle/joint problems that MS is causing. Other than that, what about the gym? It's a safe environment for strenuous exercise (for someone like me who is quite liable to fall over!).
