Finding the balance

Hi. Does anyone else here have to mix it up by using a crutch/crutches and using a wheelchair? I need to pace myself massively otherwise my legs have a dicky fit and before you know it, I'm walking like an elderly person who's had a double hip operation and had a few too many bevvies to ease the pain. I find getting the balance really difficult and when my legs are good, I overdo it and think 'woo! Let's run around like a mad woman'. Then bam, ms (the bitch) decides to royally stick two fingers up to me then I end up back at square one. I fear using the chair too much because I don't want to lose the little mobility I have left, but I can't carry on walking nearly all the time, especially with crutches. Does anyone else have this issue? Chloe x

@chloeautumnx , it is a balance and you have to find your own limits. I can manage up to about 50 metres with sticks, but then I'm prone to have my legs give way. I refuse to be totally wheelchair dependent, but there are good days and bad days. So, set your ranges, but be flexible and don't over-exert yourself.

Thanks @stumbler. Can I ask you what you're like at home? Do you use the wheelchair? Yeah, I refuse to as well but I think I need to even the balance out a bit more. :)
