Aaarrrggghhh!

Am new here but just wanna get some stuff out there to fellow m.s.ers! I was diagnosed with The Beast in 2013, 6 weeks after taking voluntary redundancy from a great job rather than move my then family to Puerto Rico, a BIG hit of m.s! Spent 4 months in hospital with it, came out in a wheelchair, then a stick, but no more! In fact last year I ran walked and wheelchaired the local Bristol half marathon for the charity m.s. research! Brave or stupid?! Point is, my husband left me and our 2 young boys, though he still sees them every other weekend. He couldn't cope with the fact that I was no longer the big breadwinner of the relationship. Well f him! His loss! Am still ME! And my mother still has my bank cards, because apparently I can't be trusted with them and she has Power of Attorney! Anyhoo, rant done! Sorry! Boring!!! Xxx

Hi @sallymartin and welcome. It's always good to get things off your chest, that's just one of the reasons that this Forum exists. And these husbands that run off at the fist sign of hardship, it gives us blokes a bad name! So, c'mon then, who are your favourite band?

@sallymartin Hi Sally; notice you have been on this site for a couple of years. FYI - I update my profile once a year so those who are interested are aware of recent information. First things first - congrats on the local Bristol marathon. Not something I would do yet still impressive. Second; glad your hubby is far away. Too bad you still have to see him "for the children". Sometimes we need to "not shoot someone" for others we care about. ;-) Third & more important to me, why does Mom have Power of Attorney? Is there information we can share that might assist?
