Heat and symptoms?

I know heat has an effect on fatigue but can it worsen your symptoms?? I had a relaspe in March affecting my hands. They were badly damaged so the relapse has taken sometime to get better and i still has pins in needles in my fingers. Today it has been 30degrees and my hands feel worse. They feel more tight and numb, can this be normal? P.s any advice on how to manage in this heat?

@gemma87 My symptoms are ALWAYS worse when the weather heats up. My legs/feet are really tight/numb just now, left arm really sore/stiff/numb. Drink lots of chilled water, hope u feel better soon x

Learn something new everyday on this site (except I may have heard/read this before but not remembered...) because I have been wondering why my hands and feet feel tight. My top tips for keeping cool are nothing new but - soak a tea towel in cold water and put round neck (you could put in freezer from 10mins to make it ice cold), also freeze bottle of water then place that in front of a fan which is directed at you, wrists under running cold tap... also just praying for the rain - thought it was going to be tonight but apparently now only Friday - I am in London (although a friend did point out that he thought I was just a hair’s breadth from uttering the phrase “there be a storm a-brewin”) :)

I was in a horrible state yesterday evening. Much improved after putting a pack of frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel between my neck and the cushion I was resting my head on. Sitting in front of a fan right now. I'll be very glad when the temperature is back to normal.

What do you think about these @gemma87? The second best one is available on amazon.co.uk - the really good one only available in the States. Very expensive but sound cool ... so to speak.

The heat does not agree with me either. I find I have more pins and needles when I have too much salt.

I was about to post a similar question when I came across this post. My left eye has been bad again for last week or so and I was wondering if the heat had something to do with it acting up. Looks like it is something to with it.

I was actually born in summer but i was never a sumer lover :D due to my numb legs i am also not a fan of winter, because i have to pay attention to the way im going how i step on ice and which shoes i should wear. As for the summer, till now all my symptoms started in summer, because i feel exhausted and the sweat is killing me. I try to drink as much water as i can, but then i have to pee every minute. My new method of trying to be cool :D is to put on a cold blanket on certain parts of my body (knees, foot soles, shoulders and stomach). It kind of helps me so try it and you will see.

you can also make fudges from blueberrys and put it in the fridge. It is delicious and it really cools you.

Hi Heat really goes for me seems to multiply the severity of fatigue and affected limb function I use the packs that come with a coolbag take them out of the freezer and put them in pockets or sit wrists on them until I cool down

i found this out too, to cool down i fill the sink up with cold water and press my hands down on the bottom of the sink its a good way to cool your body temperature down but you soon heat up again when your hands are removed but is a good temporary fix.
