I'm newly diagnosed.

Just wanted to introduce myself and find a gauge on how active the site is... Visited a few MS communities that seemed very quiet so just looking for a slightly bigger place to maybe make a few friends. My name's Daisy. I was diagnosed on the 7th of December. I'm 28. I had a strong suspicion I had MS for many months before diagnosis... I'm still a little shocked and feeling somewhat isolated and lonely. So I thought I'd reach out... I'm not great at introductions so big apologies for that.

@daisy, welcome. This site seems fairly active and everyone is polite. Hopefully you get a sense of community from it and some answers.

Hello@daze, welcome to Shift even though it’s not the type of club you’d envisaged joining! Everyone on here is really supportive and ready to help with all your queries and concerns. You must have been through a nightmare time awaiting diagnosis. Diagnosis these days is so much quicker than decades ago. The good news about that, is that treatments, plans and monitoring snaps into action too, looking at improving longer term outcomes. On this site, there are people of different ages, from all over. There are lots of folk around your age too, so you are not alone. It’s gonna take a while to work out how you feel about things, and what you want for yourself. So for now, eat well, rest lots, accept any help and support offered, and provide yourself with lots of treats. You so deserve it! Stay well, sending you some hugs ..x
