New here

Hi I'm new to this site and new to ms really. I was diagnosed April 27th 2018 currently no plans for treatment hoping it's relapsing remmiting. Went to optometrist with blurred vision left eye, she told me my nerve was swollen and I should go to the hospital. Given 3 MRI and lumbar puncture which the recovery was terrible. Still very early in my ms diagnoses and so far no other symptoms other than mild dizziness. Wish you all well, let's get through it together.

Hi @timthebear and welcome. That's a quick route to a diagnosis, compared to what others have experienced. There's a lot of information available about MS, but be wary of just Googling blindly. There are many horror stories that are totally our of context, so you need to stick with creditable sites, like the MS Society, etc.. Otherwise, your need to adopt a healthy lifestyle and a healthy, balanced diet, if you don't have these already. And, do avoid Stress. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome and kind words, yes it was a quick diagnoses in fact my neurologist kept telling me my body put the cart before the horse, as it seems the spot in my brain was old but my symptoms were new. I had a serious bout of vertigo about 5 years ago but he seemed to think it was unrelated or at least he didn't consider it a symptom. My wife and I have been pretty scared of what this news means especially considering the costs of treatments but we are optimistic that we can make it through.t biggest problem right now is anxiety as now evertime I get dizzy I tend to panic myself making things worse. I've taken to long walks to keep my mind off things as I don't work.
