Pregnancy - to medicate or not?
I am currently taking Copaxone 3x per week and I wanted to know if others trying to get pregnant took medication during this time? My neurologist informed me that Copaxone is a class B and that I can continue to take it, but I wanted to know what other woman have done. I do not know anyone in a similar situation as mine with MS so sharing of any kind will be super helpful :)
*Don't worry...I will be consulting an OB but wanted to know what others with MS have done/are doing on this site*
Thank you! Rose
@rose Hi! I am an old lady (lol) but I remember when ... but seriously. I had a couple exacerbations when I was in my latest 20,s and was concerned like you are about having a baby. Surprisingly, I felt wonderful all through my pregnancy. I believe a woman has hormones that prevent ms flare ups. I thought science needed to find a way to bottle it and inject that into ms sufferers. Of course make sure with your ob. But that was my personal account. I hope the best for you!
They put me on copaxone while pregnant and everything went fine! Whatever you feel is best for you and your child will be the right decision.
