How many of you have kids?

I have two... How do they react to your M.S.? I never want to look weak in my daughters eyes. They are completely aware that I have MS. My oldest daughter holds my hand wherever we go...it just sucks cause I sometimes feel I'm not giving them the best childhood cause of MS.
@Alison

I have 2 sons age nearly 15 and nearly 12. The elder one used to get annoyed when I said we'll do this on Saturday, then when Saturday came I was too tired & had to cancel. But mostly they love relaxing at home, playing video games & watching tv - pyjama days and home cooking are real highlights for them. Now they insist I use a wheelchair when we visit theme parks, because they know I won't get tired and we can stay all day :) Kids have bad childhoods because their parents abuse & neglect them. You clearly love & care about yours, so please don't beat yourself up about the MS thing & enjoy the highlights when you're able to xxx

@chueykooh

I don't have children but I was a kid once a long time ago :) and my mother was very sick with lupus, connective tissue disease, diverticulitis, and raynaud's syndrome. She raised me right and if there was something she couldn't do because she was sick, I never thought of her as weak, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. I knew she was struggling even when I was young and she is the one who taught me to fight as hard as you can and never give up. If it it wasn't for her being so sick, I probably wouldn't the person I am today or handle my disease the way I do. I guess what I'm saying is you kids know you are a good mother and they don't see you as weak because your sick. And as Alison said " please don’t beat yourself up about the MS thing & enjoy the highlights when you’re able to"
