One Day event with Prof. Jelinek from Overcoming MS

Hi all I am new to this site, so I am not sure if many people follow George Jelinek's Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis programme. I have been following it close to two years now and I have been blown away by the success. My father had a very aggressive form of MS and passed away within four years of diagnosis. Then two years ago I was diagnosed with MS due to two serious attacks.I assumed my health would deteriorate like my father's, so I decided to do whatever I could to beat the disease. By pure chance I discovered OMS by Prof George Jelinek and I began his low fat, plant based diet. After two years, I am now healthier than what I was before I was diagnosed (and I do not take any medication). There are still the occasional days where I am fatigued or my legs are a bit tingly or numb, but these days are rare and do not hinder me. In summary, I am a big supporter of OMS and feel that it is one of the most effective means to beating the disease. Also, Prof Jelinek is coming to the UK in July for a one day event. The event will cover all of the information that you need to start the lifestyle-based recovery program. Lunch and all other refreshments are included. I urge all of you to attend the event, you won't regret it. The details for the event are: http://payments.overcomingmultiplesclerosis.org/Tickets/Recovering+from+MS:+turning+evidence+into+reality/ If you would like more info, here is the website: http://www.overcomingmultiplesclerosis.org/ If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. Thanks Paul

@paul8424, I'm sure everyone is very happy that you are having such good results by following George Jelinek. However, we also know that MS is a very personal condition - what works for one, doesn't work for another. Obviously, you believe in the work of GJ, but, holding a one day event for MSers or anyone involved with MS at £55 a pop, just seems awfully mercenary. But, there again, I think we're used to people making money out of this neurological condition. Just out of interest, why has it taken you a year to share your good experience? You do realise that your post could be construed to be in contravention of this house rule:- No advertising or spamming at all. Ever. Even subtle stuff. [Unless of course you are promoting a shift.ms event]

@stumbler, I fully agree with your comments. MS is a very personal condition and effects everyone differently. However, when my father was sick I met a great number of people with MS, some were doing well and some weren't. I always listened to what people were doing and what medication they were taking, in hope that I could help my father beat the disease. By far, OMS has been the most successful method in beating the disease (my personal opinion). I have met so many people that that follow the programme and have reported results. Just to give you an idea, take a look at the OMS facebook page on their success stories: http://on.fb.me/13fzDJQ My partner and I even run a Facebook page that supports OMS: https://www.facebook.com/pages/What-We-Eat-Recipes-for-Overcoming-Multiple-Sclerosis/243814792418364 With regards to people making money out of MS, I couldn't agree more. I have encountered a number of people and programmes that are just there to make money. But this is not the case, £55 is a lot of money, but it is a whole day event and OMS is a charity that does not make a profit (even their book "Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis" is sold at cost price). The reason I have not posted on this site before is because I only recently found out about this site and as I have had such good results with OMS, I wanted to share them. I can see how my post can be misconstrued as advertising or spam, but this is not the case. I just wanted to let people know that Prof Jelinek will be in the UK for a seminar. Thanks Paul
