WEIRD SYMPTOMS.

Hello everyone, I'm a 21 year old medical student in Africa, Nigeria precisely. I've had these weird symptoms for like two years now, I know I've seen flashes of light, double vision, after images, blurred vision sometimes, vertigo, muscle spasms and swallowing issues at a time. These symptoms do come and go, I'm still very agile and I don't feel leg weakness or fatigue, MS is very rare in Africa and I just want to know if it's possible it's something else. I can't even tell my mum about this cos she gets agitated at the smallest thing. I just really need to talk to people who will understand me. Thanks in advance.

@nutshell88 I don't even think there's good healthcare for MS in my country because the disease is not common here, I'm trying to talk to a Nigerian woman who was diagnosed in 2004, I hope she can help me with referrals. Thanks so much for replying to my thread, I feel at ease a bit.

@Stumbler

@ojomide , you're right, MS is pretty rare in Central Africa. Generally, MS is a notoriously difficult condition to diagnose, as the symptoms do present in various other conditions too. Could it be stress-related, bearing in mind the intensity of your present studies?
