Tablets and Safari

I've recently started using a tablet and am disappointed to find shift.ms does not seem to be set up for one. Every time I log on to this particular site or change pages I am told that the version of Safari I am using needs updating. I can either update or dismiss the message. As the tablet does not use Safari I opt for the latter but the message reappears when I look at the next item. As I am seeing double at present consistently dismissing the advert is tedious and irritating. Has anyone else come across this problem and if so is there an easy answer? The log in button does not appear on the tablet either. I tried to join the discussion with the ' Join' button but it would n't let me as there is already a user-me - with the same name and email address. When programming for people whose physical and mental health varies can' t programmers think it through a bit and keep things simple? With the tablet I can write with one finger just sweeping from one letter to another and the machine guesses how many of each and which word I want. The spellchecker on my computer is great when my vision is dodgy but this is even better.

@meg , I've flagged your concerns up the line. The forum upgrade at Xmas was all about making the forum more usable across the various platforms, i.e. PC, tablet and smartphone, so there will be concern about your experience. Can I just ask which tablet you are using and which operating system (OS) it has?

My tablet is a Samsung galaxy note and the user system was Android. It worked OK when my resident computer expert (my husband) took pity and switched to Google Chrome. Thanks for your and his help. There's never a teenage boy around when you need one!
