Lemtrada decision

Hi all, Got diagnosed with MS about 2 months ago now and have just seen MS nurse today for first time. She has said that the only treatment I am ‘eligible ‘ for at the minute is lemtrada and the others may come in when I have 2 or more relapses within 2 years. I need to make a decision soon about whether to have it or not!! Has anyone had experience of this and the side effects of it? I have an 8 month old baby so want to know what the effects will be like and if it will impact me being able to play with her and bring her up as I want to be able to do? I’m pretty terrified about what I should do, I just want to someone to tell me what to do really although I know they can’t 😩
@ScienceGeek

Are you in the UK? If you are, you should be eligible for many other options. https://www.mstrust.org.uk/understanding-ms/ms-symptoms-and-treatments/ms-decisions This website helps you make your choice of DMT. Can you go back to your MS nurse to discuss other options too?

@JanaBananaaa

Your neuro should give you several options on treatments and explain each one of them and then give you some time to make your own decision. Choose something that suits your needs and lifestyle. May I ask where u from? It sounds a bit odd to say that lemtrada is the only option? In many countries it is used as a third option when other dmds fail to work for you. I get lemtrada as first line treatment though starting in sept. Happy to share experiences with you when it comes to september ☺
