Medication to help with walking better

Hi all, I am due to see my neurologist in the 15th dec, haven't seen him for over 2.5years. I don't take any medication at the moment because the 5 I have tried did not agree with me. I have secondary MS. I mainly want to get a MRI because I am finding in the last couple of years my cognition is getting worse and want to see if it shows. Also my walking isn't getting any better. I have started physio again but I just want a little help walking better. I do use crutches, Scooter, walker etc ha ha and wear a afo which my physio said isn't working anymore and have to adjust or get another one (which would look worse). Soo if anyone knows or uses something that helps please share.

Hi @lorag , I too am SPMS, since 2010 when an arbitrary decision was made, without any testing. Well, at the beginning of this year, I had an MRI, as a result of my suggestion of experiencing unwelcome progression. Well, there was nothing adverse going on, but it always useful to have that reassurance. And, that was that, progressive with nothing available, or so I thought. My Neuro now wants another MRI, for comparison purposes. He will them consider referring me onto a London Hospital, which is using Cladribine, which is an off-label usage. So, as far as medication to help walking, the only option that I'm aware of is Fampridine/Fampyra. But, it is worthwhile asking questions of your Neuro. We don't get answers, unless we ask the questions.

Thanks stumbler. You are right we have to ask the question you just never know ?
