Your medication how does it effect you? Did you have to change medication?

I know everyone's MS is different and probably their reaction to the medication is too. I was just diagnosed with MS in Dec. 2012. It seems like since I started taking Betaferon, I am so sleepy and also find it hard to concentrate and remember things. Yes, before I started the medication, I probably felt that way sometimes too, but now after taking the medication, it seems so much more, a lot more. And at this time last year, when I had MS, but didn't know it, I was out jogging almost every morning and also going to work with no problem. Yes, sometime I felt sleepy, but not so tired as now and also now, I feel a strong effect on my eyes. For example when I feel tired, I can really feel it in my eyes. I didn't notice this before I had the double-vision, last December, only after starting this medication. What I'd like to ask is, when you started your medication, did it take you a long time to get adjusted to it or did you ever feel like this? Also, the medication makes me feel depressed. I break out crying if I even begin to think about MS or something seems emotional, I just start crying. It scares me. I wasn't like this before. I'm wondering if Betaferon is right for me. The effects seem so overpowering. I'd appreciate hearing your opinions.
@Stumbler

I picked this up from the MS Decisions website (http://www.msdecisions.org.uk/):- "Depression is relatively common in people with multiple sclerosis, and there has been some debate about whether interferon betas can make this worse. If you have been prone to mood changes before starting to take these drugs, discuss this with your MS nurse and/or neurologist. If you have had depression in the past, then interferon beta will not be prescribed. Glatiramer acetate may still be suitable for you." This may account for your mood although I couldn't find anything specifically about causing fatigue, which is a normal symptom of MS. Contact your MS Nurse and talk to them about it.

@EdgarLeroy

I tried betaseron for about 2 months & could not tolerate it. It just made me feel sick and tired. Copaxone was much easier for me. Luckily, I have not had to deal with any serious depression. How about the newer, more effective therapies? If I was still relapsing, I would try to get on one of those.
