Sleep!

For the last few years I’ve struggled to fall asleep however the last few months leading up to my diagnosis it’s just gotten worse which is awful as I’m starting a new job and the hours are longer with earlier starts. If anyone has any tips on how to get a good restful sleep / fall asleep quicker I would really appreciate it 💕

Depends on ur DMT and what u can take alongside should have had a pharmacist consultation prior to first dose/transfusion/injection etc before Aubagio I was taking tecfidera and so I could also take Nytol (1 a night) which is antihistamine based but after I switched to auabagio I’m not allowed so I can Phenergran both of which are antihistamine based and helped. The other thing that used to help is KALMS which are herbal (valerian based) tabs 2 different types blue box is for anti anxiety and the purple box is for sleeping aid. Personally I found the anti anxiety blue box better all round but both are worth a try if possible with ur other meds. Other ppl have suggested things like colouring, backing away from ur phone, tablet etc 1hr30mins before bed, meditation, mindfulness, podcasts or sleep aid audios like music or raindrops etc loads of apps where u can access this for free. Sleep prep yoga, cutting out food, fluids and exercise before bed ( different ppl say different lengths of time) if u suffer from temp sensitivity then electric blanket/hot water bottle socks for feet if cold sensitive or blanket rather than quilt or lower count/tog quilt, bedside fan, cooling vest and skimpy pjs. (Depends which way u tend towards) and just as a last side note heard good things about weighted blankets. Check out https://shift.ms/@AmyBarr55 ‘ sleep’ post just in case I forgot anything hope u find something that helps!!!! ( oh 1 last thing gabapentin for nerve pain) is great for sleep if u take it just before bed Hope u find something that helps 🤞🤞👍👍
