First time on steroids
Been put on steroids for first time, tablets for 3 days was told would probably lose sleep and feel a bit hyper so far the opposite still tired and lifeless and want to sleep all day, took my first 2 days. How long before you start to feel any better?
@julie-dave2010 , not everyone gets the side-effects of steroids. :wink: The steroids will primarily address the inflammation on your Central Nervous System (CNS), which is causing the relapse. Once this is resolved, then your body will use your "neuronal reserve" to try and fix the damage caused. The steroids will be helping this process over the following 6-8 weeks. It is important to allow your body time to recover, so be kind to yourself.
They reacted very quickly after taking them and I felt great for two days after taking steroids. All my pain went I lost a lot of fluid from places I didn't even realize I had fluid! Unfortunately it didn't last long as I came down with a kidney infection and that negated the affects and my body went back to how it was before.
