MS diagnosis anniversary gift

My wife's MS diagnosis anniversary is coming up soon. I was thinking about getting her a gift. Not sure if this is weird or not. It's in her calendar, and we talk about it often, openly, and without emotion. So while it obviously isn't something to celebrate, thought it could be nice... So had questions for the community: 1) Is this weird? Would you like this? Or would you prefer to not be reminded? 2) If you would appreciate a gift, what sort of thing would you like? Something 'relevant' (ie meditation book) or just any gift? Thanks in advance!

@jay-r Hi i was DXD on Christmas Eve by letter the next year i was given a new foldable walking stick as a little bit of a joke, I call it my blue light sabre๐Ÿ˜ƒ But each to their own I suppose.....it might go down like a lead balloon ๐ŸŽˆ

I think it is totally appropriate for a married couple to exchange gifts, anytime. Gifts, however, are different to different people. I am sure a gift of love always is welcome, because it is the message that counts. I am sure that if it is about love rather than diagnosis, it will go down alright. Hope it goes okay ๐Ÿ‘Œ. Like my Mum always says โ€œitโ€™s the thought that counts.โ€
