Dmd's too early?

Hi all, sorry not been about much just been really busy with the holidays drawing near. I saw a lady Doc at the hospital yesterday for a review. My on and off symptoms have slowed down a lot, my main ongoing problem is my right leg which is decidedly dodgy most days especially when walking anywhere, it aches and strains though some days feels ok. She suggested I go back in the new year for dmd's and when I asked about which one she said 'interferon'. I told her I'd read some about it and was a bit wary. Also because I was only diagnosed earlier this year (march was officially confirmed rrms) thought the suggestion for dmd's a bit premature? Particularly wary of interferon as it doesn't seem that effective from what I have read about it. Any suggestions? Should I go that route or simply decline till a few years have gone by and see what happens?

Hi, I'm not on DMDs but when my neuro was thinking about me going on them he gave me some dvd's that went through the pros and cons of each type, there's also a web site www.msdecisions.org.uk with quite a lot of info. hope this helps Chris
