This is limbo right?

Thought I put a message earlier but can't find it. You'd probably be glad (it was a bit on the long side) I'm 33 year old female who had vertigo and lost my balance August last year ago. Was under care of ENT. My symptoms changed. Muscle spasms, numbness difficulty speaking, understanding........... Had MRI brain. Showed lesions. Seen by Neuro, had another MRI. Spine clear but new brain lesion. Bloods tests and lumbar puncture not conclusive. Waiting for second opinions from Ms centre and rheumatology, some kind of test on my legs and possibly another MRI. In retrospect, whatever this is I think I've had it for years. Problems seem to come and go, but not my hand, which sometimes feels like it doesn't belong to me. Been given med for Fatigue and have been told to contact MS nurse and consultant if things change. Limboland, here I am.

Hi @emlaloula and welcome. Yes, you've found yourself in limboland, which is a really frustrating place to be.As you say, you're looking to explain a few medical mysteries and MS would appear to be a potential answer. But, the medical profession want to be sure before giving you that label. I can understand that. The problem is that MS has a raft of potential symptoms, which can also present in a variety of other conditions too. However, it does seem to point to MS, so they just want to be sure. Keep a symptom diary now, so that you can use it to make a short list of problems that you can discuss at upcoming appointments. And, in the meantime, look after yourself. Don't push yourself too hard and try to avoid worry/stress - these negative emotions only make things worse. Let us know how things develop. :wink:

@emlaloula

Thanks for the reply @stumbler I'm OK. I know it's important to get accurate diagnosis. Just a bit frustrating. My next appointment with my Neuro is in 6 months. Let's see what happens in the meantime.
