Info on Aubagio

Hi, I am currently on Copaxone injections but my doctor is talking about changing me to Aubagio tablets pending my MRI. Has anyone been on this treatment and can offer me some advice? I'm finding my injection sites getting sore after being on Copaxone for 18 months. Thanks in advance. Donna.

Hi. I used to be on Copaxone as well and same thing, injection sites were getting more and more sore and overused. I hated injections and the stress it would cause me. I switched to Aubagio almost two years ago and haven't looked back. Love not having to do injections any longer. My only noticeable side effect was hair thinning. I have long brown hair that I always tie back and started noticing that it would take an extra loop to get it tight when it never did before. Also noticed more hair coming out in the shower. To look at me you couldn't tell which was good. This stopped after about 6 months and then it started growing back. I would recommend Aubagio based on my own experience. Good luck!

I've been on aubagio for about 5 months. I find taking it with a meal is better but you don't have to. I haven't had any major side effects but a bit of thinning hair and I had a lot of upset tummy at the start. It has all settled down now and I'm quite happy with it. I was never on injections so I can't compare but for me Aubagio seems the right one. Good luck!
