Optic neuritis

Hi everyone this is my first question on here. I've noticed that after I've had a bout of eye pain then after it feels like I have something in my eye and my vision becomes blurry also.....does anyone else notice this?.....this is such a goodd support group I'm glad I found it!!
@simone

This as one of my first symptoms. It started with me when I was mid journey. I was a community carer. Scary stuff. I found that the more I worried about It, the worse it became. I didn't know it was MS at the time. Now I do, I go through cycles of worrying about what's going to come next and deciding not to worry at all. It's not easy, but worrying about things makes them worse. This illness is fuelled by stress and milk apparently but that's another story! All the best Simone

Hm yes the blurry vision is kind of scary. I had about 7 optical neuritises 4 on my left and 3 on my right eye, the right eye is now great but my left one is still blurry, i can only see the center. Reason for that is maybe that my MS actually started with an optical neuritis on my left eye, however i didnt notice it till i started walking weirdly to the right because subconsciously i couldnt see to the left. After some time i noticed that i have a foggy wall on my left eye, couldnt even see my palm which i was holding before my face. Of course i started to panic, first thought was that im getting blind. Then i went to the hospital and they also didnt know what was the cause or how they could help me. I was sent to several eye tests and after three weeks they gave me methylprednisolone (Medrol) and my vision came back already the second day. As simone wrote stress is the main progressor of MS, although there is still no way to fully avoid it, however we can alleviate it. =) so dont worry to much best wishes
