Which DMT - Newly diagnosed

Hi ! Just looking for a bit of advice or opinions on which DMT would be best or people's experience with them, and just to have a bit of a rant I suppose. I'm 29, just been diagnosed with highly active relapsing remitting MS, likely had MS for about 6 years. I've been offered Cladribine, Ocrevus, Kesimpta and Tysabri as my first DMT due to how active my MS is and have roughly about 30 lesions. I was swaying towards Kesimpta as the injection looks easy enough and if I'm honest it's the only one that I haven't seen hair loss mentioned as a side effect for most people ! I've experienced hair loss over the last year likely due to stress (have underactive thyroid as well) and I don't really want to experience it again, I love my hair :( I'm a little confused and nervous about going on such strong medication, I'm relatively healthy and active and don't feel like I'm that ill if it makes sense ? I struggle with fatigue/muscle stiffness/pins and needles but otherwise I'm "fine". Just finding it a bit daunting. Hope this is okay to post and if anyone has any experience with Kesimpta would be great, thank you !

Hi Chloe, Choosing DMT’s can be quite troublesome as you it is hard to find the one that best suits you. People change from DMT to DMT depending on how the take a react to it. I am currently on Ocrevus (Ocrelizumab) which has really helped me, it’s gained me a bit of stability and strength in my legs which what was needed. Do as much research as you can to see what best suits your needs and help. I would advise to regularly talk to your neurologist as he/she will give you their best thoughts and opinions, or your MS nurse. I hope you keep well and safe. All the best, Jay :)

Hey Chloe, I’m in a very similar position to you and wondering you’d made a decision? I know it’s been a few months since you posted! I’m also swaying towards Kesimpta but my neurologist also wanted me to look more at Tysabri as I hadn’t really considered it.
