Vitamin D and light boxes
Has anyone any experience of using a light box to top up their vitamin D level?

I have a light alarm just because I don't function well when it is dark and gloomy, but it isn't a vitamin D thing: waking up to light just lets my body know that it is morning.
I don't understand this whole vitamin D thing, I may live in one of the gloomiest countrys on earth (Scotland), but before I got ill I was never inside, i worked outside, mostly on buiding sites and my hobbies were all outside activities like cycling. Now that I am inside more often I take supplements including Vit D tablets. Was thinking about using sunbeds but not sure how I will react to heat.
