Clear MRI scans but symptoms ongoing

I posted earlier this year but have been having odd symptoms since November 2020. My main symptom was numbness across my torso/abdomen with some tingling in limbs. I paid privately to see a neurologist and for brain and C-spine MRI scans at the end of January. Neither scan showed any evidence of inflammation or demyelination and my diagnosis was 'presumed mild sensory transverse myelitis'. At the time the neuro said hopefully symptoms will spontaneously resolve and no follow up appointment was necessary. He wrote in the letter that risk of recurrence or MS is low where brain and cervical cord imaging are normal. It is now coming up to 6 months since initial onset of symptoms and the numbness is still there. I continue to have a very altered sensation in my abdominal area. The tingling in my legs has worsened this week and is causing me concern. I have been slightly under the weather so I am wondering if this has caused a 'flare'? In March my GP put me on beta-blockers after I commented that my heart rate had increased, she suggested I was suffering with anxiety. I now fear that any complaints of additional symptoms will be put down to this. My GP surgery is severely under pressure and I feel as though I don't want to bother them. Would you suggest I request a follow up neurologist appointment? Could this be an MS relapse or is this unlikely given my clear scans only 4 months ago?

Sorry to see you did t get any response to your questions, I do t have any answers either I am just interested as I am in a similar situation having had all the symptoms for nearly a year (which seem to be progressively worsening) and yet a clear brain MRI and normal lumbar puncture. Hope you are feeling better and have some idea of what is causing your symptoms

@NorasMom

I would definitely schedule another appointment. It may be something other than MS, but my MRI's were clear for years until suddenly they weren't. By that point, my symptoms were undeniable because I'd never been able to get any treatment. You are the best advocate you'll ever have. You know that there's something wrong, so just keep fighting until you get some answers.
