Tysabri

Hi first time posting on this! I was diagnosed 07/2019 and am Currently having Tysabri infusions every 28days. Anyone else having these? Are we still ok to have these as mine due in 2weeks! Also should people on treatments be self isolating for 12weeks? So confused 🙈

@talderson I take my tysabri infusion every 6 weeks due to being JC+ but I believe my infusion centre is moving all patients to a 6 week cycle because of the situation. Unless told otherwise I would expect to go on your current time slot but do check with them. Remember stopping tysabri is not an option without a plan as there is a huge risk of a big rebound. I have been told that tysabri compared to other types of DMTs is reasonably low with COVID19. I am not expecting those of us on tysabri therefore to be on the list of people not to self isolate for 12 weeks. But I don’t know that for sure. I do however think that we should still take as much precaution as possible. So I will be isolating to some extent anyway, as I personally don’t want the risk. Thanks for the reply. I didn’t know that you can’t just stop this treatment as I went on this 5weeks after diagnosis! I will wait a week then ring where I go for the infusion. I’m really new in here and not sure where to look for information on tysabri. You seem to be very clued up on this subject. Thanks again.
