Sleep issues really suck!

I keep waking up throughout the night and this disruptive sleep schedule is giving me one big eyeball headache. Does anyone recommend natural things to help with a full nights rest? I'm really adverse to medication that's going to knock me out cold. Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I'm ready to just bang my head against the wall in sheer frustration.

Hi Sonia I completely know how you feel. Sleep deprivation has a massive impact on everything in your life, health, mood, appetite the list goes on. I too have awful insomnia and for a long time refused medication. But I the end I gave up and spoke to my doc about. What's imps for you to know is not all sleeping tablets are strong, you need to find the right one for you so you will probably start off on something very very mild and see how you go. Some tablets are designed to help you just get off to sleep. By all means try the natural way there are a lot of weird and wonderful things out there you might be lucky, good luck ☺

It might sound weird but have you tried making any changes to what you're eating and drinking throughout the day to see if that makes any difference? I've mostly stopped eating any carbohydrate in the evening - just protein and vegetables for dinner and nothing sweet afterwards - and am sleeping much better. Also my husband has stopped snoring which is a bonus!
