Aubagio..

Hi there. Was recently diagnosed with ms relapsing remitting. I've had a hard year to get the diagnoses ..but I want to ask if any one can tell me if it's safe to take antitrypteline with Aubagio as my neuro didn't mention anything about my current meds I was taking. I'm on entrip for nerve pain and sleep before I started Aubagio. I have had a rough two days so far on these meds causing tummy issues nausea and diarrhoea and could not sleep as I've been off the drug since I started Aubagio..so if anyone can help me I will be so greatful thank U ..I can't take other pain relievers due to being asthmatic and have reactions .

@rebecca_adams , Nausea and diarrhoea are a documented side-effect of Aubagio. If this problem persists for more than a few days, then contact your medical team. There do not appear to be any contra-indications between Aubagio and Amitriptyline. Amitriptyline can make you feel a bit "spaced out". It's best to take this no later than 12 hours before you intend to get up the next day.

@rebecca_adams Hang in there! I’ve been on it for 4 years and other than the first week to week and a half it has been a breeze! Your body is just adjusting to it! Best of luck!
