Pregnancy and pain relief

Hi all, I'm currently taking Pregablin and Amitryptaline as I have really bad nerve pain in my neck. I asked the nurse what I would do if I decided to have a child. I was told that there is no pain relief I can take during pregnancy, basically ruling out possibility of having a child. Has anybody else had this problem? I couldnt go a day without pain relief, let alone 9 months! Any advice is appreciated. Rach

@Rachel702 , a woman's body is fairly complicated - I know, they've kept me fascinated for years! But, you'll find that the hormonal activity during pregnancy will hopefully keep your MS and its symptoms in the shade till some time after the birth. These are just things that I've heard. I'll let some of the mummies on the forum give you first-hand advice. But, whilst you need to manage your MS, you shouldn't need to stop your life. I wish you good luck in whatever you try.

Thank you :) My pain is more of a result of the damage already done to the nerves in my neck, so its there day in, day out. Having a chat with the Neurologist later in the week so hopefully he can shed some light on things. Fingers crossed hey :)
