Vitamin D

Hi all, I was wondering wether you take Vit D3 and do you know your blood levels ? I have had mine tested with the private medic checks. The finger pricks were useless as they wanted you to fill a full test tube just from your finger , I found that impossible so I had book to go to my nearest hospital for a nurse to do it and the results said 80.3 Nmol I am aware of various research and books that say for MS this means it needs to be on the high side of normal . Mine is in normal range but what do you think about trying to get it to 150mnol ? The normal range in the uk is 50- 200nmol . In October 2015 I was 35 Nmol . I was never diagnosed with Ms until July 2017 but taking higher supplements probably since this year. If I was to get it on the high side of normal or 150 Nmol how long would it take and any idea rough idea on dosages ? Thanks Rachael

Hi @rachellouise. I was taking vit d3 5000iu daily for 3 years. I wasn't feeling good last April and did lots of reading. I found a link to things I was feeling and d3. I realised my levels had never been checked before I was advised to take it. I chose to stop and have it checked every time I get bloods. It's always in normal parameters, last one was 74 in june and my hospital say normal is between 25 and 120. Adam 😆

@adar

I take 3000iu like my neuro recommended but I have no clue about my levels.
