Seizures n Spasms in the Legs

Hey Peeps, a few Days ago I started having short Seizures in my left Leg, a few seconds later it's over but they do occur often, several times a day in fact. I used to have Spasticity a lot but, my Medication put a stop to that. Could these short burst spasms be Spasticity coming back, or a new Symptom?. Any Advice would be great thanks. Contacted my MS Nurse, she only works Wed and Thu.... Great.

@PeterFrancis , it does sound like Spasticity. Baclofen is the usual go to medication for this. Hopefully your MS Nurse can pass you onto the correct Specialist

Hi, I too get this and it seems to be much worse when I have been busy. It reminds me of the myoclonic seizures I get, but these are just random jerks or strong spasms in one limb that can be on/ off repetitive. I get the tiny fasciculations too that feel like ripples to muscles, and guessing its all due to the myelopathy. I cannot take gabapentin or pregabalin because of the myoclonic epilepsy but I do take Keppra which is for epilepsy and apparently can also help with these symptoms, and sometimes prescribed for MS’ers. I am not diagnosed with MS but seeing a specialist next week. I have read Baclofen also good for these symptoms as was investigating for myself, guess its a case of how bad it is and whether the side effects okay. The Keppra I take adds to the fatigue a bit but need it to reduce risks of seizures. As I fracture alot with the Osteogenesis Imperfecta seizures not a good combination for me along with feeling dizzy and unsteady. I also get over sensitive to bright light and noise so unsure if connected to the cerebellar infarcts as only had this since they were found in 2019, tends to be when I overheat that happens and if I lie down somewhere quiet and cooler it settles, think Im just weird 🤪
