Tecfidera or Ocrevus - not sure which one i should take?!!
Hi, this is my first post, I'm looking for everyone's experience with Tecfidera and Ocrevus. I was diagnosed with MS around 8 months ago, I've just had the results from my second MRI and it is showing multiple new lesions :( My MS consultant and nurse are saying I really need to start on a DMD asap and have suggested either Tecfidera or Ocrevus. I know that everyone reacts differently to these drugs, but I'm still struggling to decide (to be honest I just want the whole thing to go away - I know denial is never an option!!). I am swayed more towards Ocrevus as the twice a day tablets of Tecfidera and potential side effects don't sound remotely appealing, but should I start on those then move to Ocrevus if they don't work/agree with me?!! Arrgghhh I'm going round in circles, so any help and advice would be massively appreciated!! 👍😊

Definitely ocrevus! Tecfidera has alot of nasty side effects. And taking drugs to manage MS is judgement call between your daily quality of life vs long term benefit. Personally i think long term benefit is the same for both drugs… however the side effects for ocrevus are less intrusive to your life than Tecfidera… thats just my opinion. I am no expert. But whats clear, is that you need to make a decision ASAP! Denial is not benefiting you.
