Newly Diagnosed

Hi everyone, I'm newly diagnosed and currently reviewing treatments. Has anyone had tecfedera (sorry if the spelling is wrong), mavenclad or tysabri? What are your experiences on these? Any help or pointers would be great 😊

Miss Faye I've had MS for 12 years and started with copazone only for 9mths . Then I had a flair up in 2013 and then went on tecfidera . Been on it since 2014 ,I waited for a pill.,cuz I couldn't stand the injections even with the auto injector The side affects I get are just flushing, comes on and off. It lasts.for 30 minutes . Its like ur red allover, like a sunburn. U can alleviate that by taking aspirin I stopped taking aspirin, didn't want anyone meds in my body. And its not so bad. Have a tsp peanut butter before u take the tecfidera. If u like it. Just have a meal before if u can I've been good for a few years and the 2018 things have changed. I'm always dizzy. My legs are weak. Can't exercise anymore of how dizzy I am. My MRI showed a scar tissue on my pons area Please look that up. It's an area where the brain stem and pons area are and the cerebellum. It's not good. As my daily life has changed drastically, cant do things like before, like shopping , and big places Ur eyes go everywhere and I just want to sit down all the time ..Can't wait to get home Sometimes when I need something at the store, when I'm done shopping, I have to lie in my car and recline the seat back for my body to reset. My brain is not the same anymore All I can do is accept what is happening and accept my disease which I did in 2017..it took me awhile to accept. Because when u can't function ,u have no choice to accept what u have I hope everything is going good with u had chosen ur DMD and stay on it religiously. It will help with the progression. Take care

Hi Miss Faye. Ive been diagnosed for 15-16 years.First off I refused any medication but after a relapse about 9-12 months later I got put onto rebif. For me personally it was horrendous and the side effect where worse than the condition and I lived on paracetamol to stave off the side effects. After over 7 years of that and a really bad episode I refused to take it anymore and I had a years medication holiday and then went onto Tecfidera. What an absolute revelation as Ive had zero side effects and my blood tests have always come back good.If your mindful of how you should take it correctly Im sure you should be ok.
