Utterly PIPped off!!

Hi, I'm Mimi, I'm 21, have had MS for 2.5 years and am currently in middle of horrible vertigo relapse which they now think might be PML. Yippee! To then add insult to injury, today I received my PIP decision letter. DENIED. Am utterly offended and furious with decision. I was awarded 0 points. In the comments box I have basically been called a liar. Everything that I said I couldn't do, the assessor has turned around and said I can do. I mean what was the point of me even being there?!?! Does she have a camera watching me?! Capita have managed to cure me of my MS. Cheers Capita, now if you could take away all the shitty symptoms too that would be great. Please could you make be not have to ask someone to do my bra up for me please? Could you make me able to cut my own food? Could you not make me have to ask for help to wash my hair? Could you make my brain realise that I know the way around the town that I've lived in for the past 21 years without having to phone my parents for directions? But of course, I can do all of these things. Silly Mimi. So what next?? Appeal?? I'm ready for a fight. But how do I fight it? Not sure I have the strength. Help and advice welcome. Mimi xx

@mimilaroux , did you have any "professional" assistance in completing the application form? The reason I ask is that it is difficult to be totally objective about yourself. We never see things as bad as they may really be. But, you do need some assistance now. The Benefits and work website (http://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/) has a lot of information about what you should do now. There is a small annual subscription to use this website and most feel it is money well spent. Otherwise, consult your local CAB office or the local branch of the MS Society (https://www.mssociety.org.uk/near-me). Unfortunately, this decision isn't unusual. There are too many occasions when they should say yes, but say no. And, yes, they probably did have cameras watching you when you arrived for the assessment!

@mimilaroux Good morning. Your issues with the pip has hacked me off, bless you. I'm no expert but I do believe they are trained to 'trip us up' but in your case they have tweeked your answers! A@@holes! I'm yet to receive the brown envolope to change from dla to pip. Well, not to change over but to reapply. It's not fair having to find the 'fight' to reapply. The 'fight' potentially causes relapses. I'd like to say how much government money is spent on things that (in my opinion) shouldn't be, but I fear I'd be in trouble. Anyways Mimi, nice to meet you.
