ok, so how many of you have a caregiver type situation? And how many of you have a caregiver that has become resentful, hostel towards you? Mine has. She basically won't do anything for me unless it's at least 95% self serving. Oh, I should probably mention that she's also my mom. "Helping" me get my disability benefits helps her pay bills, but taking me to my neurologist, who's office is 2hrs away so I can get the "baclofen pump" for my spaceticity is an inconvenience to her, so it may happen, but then again, it may not. My money's on NOT. New wheelchair?, same. Taking me to diagnosed and FINALLY treated for inattentive ADHD?, same. In fact she'd rather believe that I'm "special", believe me, I'm cleaning up her language. It's not like I asked to be like this. I definitely never wanted to be her burden, but she has a way of turning everything around so it's all about HER. She's always quick to discourage any silly or stupid dreams I may have. Basically, to her anyway, MS is a death sentence and I might as well give up??? Who the f*** DOES that??? I gotta tell u, MS may be hard to deal with, but my worst days aren't NEARY as much a pain in my ass as my so-called "caregiver"/mom 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
