13 Months post IAHSCT

Hello @shift.ms friends! It's been 13 months since my IAHSCT and I've had all of my one year follow-up appointments and thought I'd update you all on my progress. I feel like my old self again! ALL of my lingering MS symptoms have faded. This morning I did a slow paced 10K jog! That's a full 9.75K more than pre transplant. I've stopped receiving my monthly IVIG infusions as my immune system is now strong enough to fight on it's own and we have planed my immunizations to start in July. I'm back to work full time and am getting busy putting my life back in order. I recognize my extreme good fortune and pray that this kind of treatment becomes widely available because for me, it's been miraculous!

Hi. What is it and how do I get it?

@Marc_Doucett

Hi @paulmorrison I'ts "immunoablation and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation" and the "how do I get it" largely depends on where you live and the state of your MS. If you are from England, I believe you can get this treatment in London although, it might still be in clinical trials. It's worth looking into or at least speaking to your neurologist about. Marc
