Optic neuritis!

Hi everyone. I got diagnosed with MS last July aged 28. Although maintaining a positive outlook, I am still finding it hard to get my head around. Had what they thought was a mild relapse last December but after a week of horrendous pain in my right eye, which even 3 lots of pain killers only just got on top of and then a cloud over my eye, my neurologist diagnosed a relapse (optic neuritis based). I have my third and final dose of IV steroids tomorrow but things have not really improved, if anything I have started with some pain in my other eye now. Terrified my vision wont return, Is this normal or am I just being too impatient?? Thanks, Donna.

@littlemisssunshinedon , I know it will be difficult, but try and calm down a bit. All this worrying is taking brain power and you really need your brain to get on with your recovery. The steroids that you've been given are prescribed to "kick start" your body's recovery. This will occur over the next 6-8 weeks or so. They're not an immediate fix. So, be kind to yourself and give your body time to fix itself.

Thankyou :)
