Difficult decisions - Ocrevus vs Tysabri

Hello! I'm brand new here but not to MS since I've been diagnosed 20 years ago. All those years I've been on all the "early" drugs - Betaseron, Avonex, and Copaxone. Now, at age 43 and under the care of a younger, more aggressive neurologist (that I trust), I have been given the task of deciding between Ocrevus and Tysabri. Although my flare ups have been pretty controlled and minimal over the past 8 or so years, new MRIs show new lesions and my scans from now compared to the original ones 20 years ago, show a considerate amount of progression. BUT, I'm nervous about new meds! Both Tysabri and Ocrevus seem scary compared to interferons - especially during Covid times (I'm vaccinated but what about boosters?). If you have any advice about choosing between these two drug options, I'd love to hear it! Thank you!

I´ve been on Tysabri for almost 3 years and it was beautiful time. I had energy for work and exercise only travel for my shot ones a month was sometimes tiring. Now I am on Ocrevus and still waiting because I do not know what to expect. If I wasn´t positive for JCV I would stay on Tysabri because I think it´s a very good medicine.

Thanks Julia1605! I'm glad to hear that Tysabri worked well for you. I wish you lots of luck and health with Ocrevus!
