Optic Neuritis

Hi , I am suffering with optic neuritis in my left eye. Any advice about treatment and recovery is appreciated. I've had it about a week. I put my body thru a lot of stress, didn't eat or sleep properly and generally over did it so it's no surprise. It's really affecting my mobility, I'm too unstable to walk anywhere. Has anyone found that wearing an eye patch helps ? Thank you , Laura

@laura-louise-1982 , if this is having a major impact on your quality of life, which it is, then contact your medical team to discuss the issue. A course of High Dosage Steroids may be required. There's some details about Optic Neuritis here:- https://www.mstrust.org.uk/a-z/optic-neuritis Steroids won't be a quick fix. They work over the course of the 6-8 weeks following the treatment. But, it does need you to allow your body time to recover. Banish that stress from your life and take things easy.
