Hey, I honestly felt so much better after having steroids after a flare up a couple of month after cycle 1 and am being sen on Tuesday as I believe I’m having a relapse rn. I think steroids do help the body recover as it’s intended to but a relapse shouldn’t happen this soon but hopefully all goes well for you . Here’s nothing to worry about from my perspective
@kitty369 , relapses are caused by an inflammation on your Central Nervous System (CNS). Remission can start once the inflammation dies down. That's where Steroids come in, they primarily resolve the inflammation. But, they continue to work with your body over the next 6 - 8 weeks, to assist the body's recovery to any damage caused by the relapse. Steroids can have immediate side effects, e.g. disturbed sleep, a metallic taste and a euphoric high (followed quickly by the "Steroid Crash"). The recovery from the relapse would have the same outcome, with or without Steroids. It's just that Steroids make that outcome occur a lot quicker.
