Is this normal-Tysabri

Hey folks I started on Tysabri infusions. At the beginning of June. Literally, within 2 days I was like a new person. My cog fog pretty much vanished, my cognitive processing was sharp and my fatigue was gone! I completed things that I pretty much gave up any hope of doing. I was mindful though that I didn't go overboard and paced myself. Two weeks later and I hit the ground with a bump. The fatigue has returned and my cog fog is very much an unwanted companion. Anyone got any similar experiences? Or might my renewed zest slowly improve to a continuous state as I have more infusions? My friends and partner joked that they want the infusion because they couldn't believe the change in me and I will be honest I felt damn good. Maybe I just need to accept that small window of 'living life like normal' and be grateful I had that moment.

Hi @kanga sounds like you are doing really well on tysabri. After the first dose the levels of drug in your system will rise and then fall, as you have more doses the levels will start to remain elevated and reach what is known as 'steady state', this takes about 6 doses with 4 weekly dosing, so you are correct, your 'renewed zest' should return😀 You can have a look at section 5.2 of the Tysabri information for more information if you are interested, https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/222#PHARMACOKINETIC_PROPS The best of luck and there is a tysabri facebook group where many people document similar experiences to yours x

@josie999 thank you so much for your reply and explanation. That makes a lot of sense. I am not on Facebook but I think the Tysabri group might be a reason and an exception to using it. Thanks again
