newly diagnosed and reaching out

hello all. I'm newly diagnosed with either relapsing-remitting or primary progressive in febrary. I have several older lesions in both my brain and spinal cord and an active lesion in my brain. it has been a total whirlwind. Ive changed my diet, reprioritized my life and have started Aubagio about a week ago. I use a walker but am still able to walk. Its quite a change being able to suffer my symptoms instead of feeling embarrassed of them and needing to hide them. Validating but sad. Did any of you do that before your diagnosis, try to hide symptoms? Thanks for welcoming me here.

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m also newly diagnosed (Dec of 2021) with RRMS. My symptoms came on abruptly however I too seem to have some older lesions (brain only) which support the case that I’ve had it for some time. I see you’re on Aubagio. I’m on a blind trial where I’m on Aubagio, or tolebrutinib but blind to which one. I wasn’t trying to hide symptoms but I now look back on every little thing and ask my self, was that a symptom, etc.
