Trigeminal neuralgia
Hi, I've had a relapse with the most excruciating electric shock like pain in the head. I've been told it's trigeminal neuralgia which can be triggered by MS. I've been told I may need epilepsy drugs to manage the pain. Has anybody else experienced this. My Dr has not been helpful and in fact has caused me to feel really stressed. I have an appointment with the MS nurse next week. I live in the UK
I've had pain on the sides of my head at different times, but it's not a constant thing. I never thought about it being related to MS. I have had this before my diagnosis. I found out in October of 2020 that I had MS.
@Jabeen1 - I was prescribed Carbamazepine and cleared within the day. Use it as and when required these days with the same good effect.🍀
