Trying to make sense of diagnosis

Just making sense of a recent 'probably ppms' diagnosis .. I've had no progression really for a few years since I first noticed symptoms (i'm not even that bad just usually cant walk over 20 mins without a rest and I can't balance on one leg) I've recovered from 3 things that i suspected were 'relapses' (though neuro said facial paralysis isn't MS related) .. they said its based on my age but I was only 44 when I noticed something was wrong. I'm just confused because I feel I'm more similar to the RRMS stories on here (I keep telling myself I must in a denial) I just don't agree with them. I have no inflammation so no treatment apart from a ton of supplements. Just wondering if there are examples of rrms diagnosis in your 40s
@Runningonempty

There are loads of examples check out ms trust & ms society websites. There is a lot of great background info about ms on both of those. I have RRMS and was diagnosed when I was 10 days away from being 35 due to a 9 month relapse (left side stroke type symptoms) the neuro could trace it back to 22 but personally I’m questioning when I was 17 or earlier. I haven’t had a relapse since then and I’m 39 now but have definitely had disease progression despite treatment Tec & Aubagio) Everyone is an individual, ms is itself a very individual condition that will effect all of us differently. Take ur time to process the information getting that particular news has an impact which we all cope with differently even if we don’t realise it. If ur still unhappy or don’t feel confident with ur diagnosis or physician ur entitled to a second opinion and the copies of any scans & tests that u have had. It’s ur body, ur life and ur choice. Hope this helps in some way, good luck & take care of urself

@Runningonempty

P.s try not to jump into heavy researching on the net u will scare urself to death and as I mentioned before ur experience, symptoms, progression/course will also be individual and others experiences whiny have to be yours 👍👍👍👍👍
