MRI and contrast

I’m reasonably newly diagnosed, I’ve had 2 full ocrevus infusions and just had my annual MRI today. Every mri I’ve had I always had contrast, so to me this is normal. This time I didn’t get contrast. What’s normal for everyone else? Where I’m from all ms patients have been outsourced to the private sector so contrast Isn’t even an option as far as I’m aware in these scanners. When I contacted my nurses they said my consultant said it can be disadvantageous for me to get contrast every single time. I’ll ask him more at my next appointment but in the meantime wanted to hear other people’s experiences/opinions.

@Hlyndar89 I've only had contrast once on diagnosis, I've had an MRI roughly every 6 months for the last 3 years. I was kinda told they give it if they see any changes or you develop new symptoms. They really don't like using it unless they really need to. Hope that helps, but ask your neuro they won't mind you asking.

I don't think it's that good for you!
