Body cures itself, (cell repair)?

Iv been reading about the human body cells repairing themselves for thousands of years before medicine, and no one died of ms, just 10yrs less life expectancy because of the drugs stopping our own imune system being able to do its job, when the body repairs itsself, doctors call it remission. When people break themselves down again doctors say relapse, myelin damage does not relapse, people do. Iv feel much worse in the last 2 years since iv been put on all types of different drugs, which I have stopped taking most of now, and feel no worse, now thinking of stopping the DMD for a couple of months, and see if I notice any improvement, if I could get back to how I was a year ago, that at the time I thought was terrible, now would be good, I can't be the only one that wonders, my brother trusted doctors he's son died age 18, they thought he was trying to get time of work,, (migraine) No Tumer?? To late. Sorry. Guys. Going nuts. Or am I.
@noddy7

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. I WAS DX IN 2004, AND WAS PUT ON AVONEX, WHICH MY BODY DID NOT TOLERATE...SO I HAVEEEBEEN ON NOTHING SINCE 2009 WITH DR.'S PERMISSION...WAITING ON THE TRIAL GOING ON IN NYC WITHBSTEM CELLS. MYY BODY BWON'T REJECT MY OWN STEM CELLS I DON'T THINK....THERE'S HOPE THERE...

There is evidence that some lifestyle changes can help the repair process, it is said that during exercise substances like BDNF and NGF are released that could help to repair damage to neurons. Nobody will fund big MS studies on the effect of lifestyle on disease activity (big studies are expensive and difficult to do without pharma industry funding), lifestyle/ diet/exercise is notoriously difficult to do good research on. Our best bet is probably to do both - take the medicines and do what we can do ourselves to get the odds to our favour.
