jc Virus

Hi new to this site and newly diagnosed just 3 months ago. Today I saw my neurologist, (I have had 3 treatments of tysabri) and found out my JC virus was very high positive. I will have 3 more tysabri treatments and then cross over to kesimpta. Is anyone on kesimpta or had to swap treatments because of their jc virus result? Feeling a bit worried as I really don’t want a relapse! 😬

Hiya, I am a kesimpta kid. I wanted another route but was JCV positive. Its interesting you have had another route i will be keen to learn more about your journey.

I swapped from Tysabri to Ocrevus because of JCV. They made sure my infusion was 4 weeks after the last Tysabri infusion to prevent a relapse. I also had an MRI and LP just before to rule out PML after 5 months of Tysabri .
